As mom's we know the excitement of little victories that we celebrate with our kids...that maybe others can't really enter in to, such as:
*a nice big burp after feeding
*a poo-poo on the potty
*a "please" and "thank-you" without being asked
*a chosen outfit that actually "goes" together
*a shopping trip with no major mishaps, accidents or tantrums
etc., etc. :)
Today I want you to think of some little victories YOU'VE had in the last few days that are helping to live happier and healthier. Now, pat yourself on the back, grin at yourself in the mirror and realize that you are really great! Celebrate the little things because it's the little things we do that make the big difference.
Here's a link to an inspirational slide show at the Women's Health Magazine of women that have reached their weight-loss/fitness goals. Check out their great smiles :)

Try-umph: It's all about the Umph!

Triumph: The difference between a try and a triumph is the "Umph"!
How many of you would love to flick a switch and have nice flat abs, a toned butt, or be able to run 10 km's no problem? Or, how many start a diet with full intentions, you TRY it out for a bit...but soon your "Umph" wanes and you're back off track.
It's all about the "Umph", the effort, the get-up-and-go attitude even when you don't really feel like it. Because it's all those day's of "umph" that add up to your Triumph - Your Goals Become Reality!"
So TRY your workouts this week with a little more "UMPH". Set your goals, picture yourself there when the "umph" gets a little hard ... just keep on going!
