Exercise Your Mind and Take Your Brain for a Walk!

The brain needs more than just mental stimulation - it needs physical stimulation as well. When we exercise, our brain literally thrives on the increased oxygen and blood flow. It rewards us with increased sharpness and focus. Negative or “Feeling down” thoughts are blockages in our thinking patterns and they can manifest from being stagnant. When we use exercise for increasing circulation and with that rush we intentionally take the time to CONNECT our brains to our bodies, we can create a fresh flow of ENERGY, new ideas, increased motivation and of course, our favorite: ENDORPHINS!

Ready for a Brain-Body Rush of Fresh Energy? Try this:

1. During your next exercise session (make that happen soon!) take a moment to feel the blood flowing to your head.

2. Now, either during your stretching or cool-down, Imagine a fresh flow of energy flowing from the tips of your fingers and toes, right to your heart and then right to the tip of your head.

3. Close your eyes if you can, take 3 deep breaths.

4. Feel Connected…You Bet!

I’ll let you know, this experience was inspired by Yoga (my favorite connecting exercise!)

Get that fresh brain feeling! ( You’ll know what I talking about when you try it!)
